What is Create Dance Wirral?
Create Dance Wirral is a children’s and adults dance and performing arts school offering dance and musical theatre classes in Moreton and Hoylake, Wirral. We provide fun, confidence-building classes for children aged 3–16, including preschool dance, ballet, jazz, acro, musical theatre and adult dance fitness, adult ballet in a supportive environment.

What dance classes do you offer for adults in Moreton and Hoylake?
* Adult ballet- this class is for everyone from beginners and adults who have done some ballet training. The class will build your posture, coordination, musicality, strength and musicality. Adults can truly get lost in the grace and beauty of ballet to beautiful music.
* Dance fitness – a fun, energetic dance-based fitness class for adults in Hoylake and Moreton
These classes are suitable for different fitness and experience levels.
What ages can join the children’s dance classes?
Our children’s dance classes in Moreton are available for different age groups, starting with our preschool classes of Stars and Minis and continuing through older children in our Ballet, Jazz dance, Street dance, Contemporary dance, Tap dance, Acro and Musical Theatre.
Do children need previous dance experience?
No, previous dance experience is not required for many of our children’s dance classes. Create Dance Wirral in Moreton offers beginner-friendly classes as well as classes for more experienced dancers.
Is Create Dance Wirral only about dance and musical theatre classes?
No. Create Dance Wirral is about much more than weekly dance classes as we offer workshops, theatre trips, performance trips and community events. Some events are open to the wider community and others exclusively for Create Dance Wirral families. These may include:
* Holiday workshops and summer schools
* Halloween and Christmas parties
* Movie nights
* Bingo and games evenings
* Dance and musical theatre workshops
* Family workshops, including our Let’s dance event
These events help children and families connect, build friendships, and feel part of the Create Dance Wirral community.
Do you offer summer schools and holiday workshops?
Yes. Create Dance Wirral runs Summer School and holiday workshops with different themes and musicals, for children aged 5 years and above. These workshops combine dance, drama, singing, arts and crafts and creativity in a fun and supportive environment.
We also offer workshops and special events throughout the year. Details are shared with families and published on our website and social media channels.
Do you offer dance exams?
Yes. At Create Dance Wirral, we work towards exams in the Autumn term with British Dance Theatre Association. Participation in the exams is optional but working on the curriculum provides an excellent foundation to the children’s technique. At Create Dance are aim is to celebrate personal achievement, build confidence, and recognise each student’s growth in a positive and encouraging way.
Do students perform in shows or productions?
Yes. Create Dance Wirral puts on a yearly full school production at The Floral Pavilion, New Brighton. This gives the students the opportunity to perform on stage as part of a professional production. Participation in the yearly shows is not compulsory.
Our next full school show is scheduled for July 2026. Participation details are shared with families in advance.
Pupils also perform in smaller events, such as at local community events, residential homes and larger events such as Blackpool Opera House, Alton Towers, Disneyland Paris and Sadlers Wells Theatre, London.
Where is Create Dance Wirral located?
Create Dance Wirral mainly offers classes at Moreton but we do have adult classes in Hoylake.

Is there a uniform for children’s classes?
Yes we have a uniform for our classes. This is not compulsory and we do have some second hand uniform. All details to purchase uniform will be sent to parents/carers once your child is settled into their class. Uniform helps to create a sense of belonging, focus, and equality within each class.
Do you offer trial classes?
Yes. Create Dance Wirral offers a 2 week trial for £10 at any time during the term, subject to space availability. After the trial class the child can book onto the term.
