In this fun and creative class, children are taken on a magical journey to learn the basic foundation skills of ballet, modern and tap. Games and props are used to help to develop balance, coordination and musicality, as well as creativity and imagination.

This popular class which follows the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus complements all styles of dance. It is perfect for youngsters who love the variety and challenge of different dance genres. Dance is great for posture, spatial skills, expressiveness and creativity, whilst Acro develops strength, flexibility and balance. Children will learn how to forward roll, backward roll, handstands, cartwheels and many more. Great for confidence building too!

These classes will develop technical skills, balance, musicality and creative movement through modern dance and musicality through tap. The children will have the opportunity to take BTDA exams (optional). We have 4 age groups Junior, Spotlight, Intermediate & Senior.

Musical theatre ( Create Dance Academy and Act 1 Perfomers) combines song, acting and dance together. During the classes we work on a variety of performance skills including breathing techniques, speech, improvisation, script work, character building exercises and games. We encourage the students to express themselves and build confidence to perform in front of others. The students have the opportunity to perform to family and friends in community events and full theatre productions.

Your child will learn singing techniques, dance skills/routines and drama character role-play and improvisation, and work towards presenting these in a performance. They will also gain knowledge of other performing art roles, such as set design, prop making and script writing.

This session is divided into three 40-minute periods, each with a focus on either dance, drama or singing. Through creative tasks, games, improvisation and dance exercises children learn the key skills of each discipline, alongside musical theatre extracts to perform to family and friends. Great for developing confidence, teamwork and performance skills.
